What it actually does

You upload a single utility bill - electricity, gas, whatever you have - and we parse it line by line. Rate schedules, rider charges, demand data, tax line items, power factor penalties. The tool reads the bill the way an analyst would, except it's checking every line against known savings opportunities across seven categories:

• Optional surcharges and rider fees. These are charges that industrial and commercial customers can often opt out of, but most companies don't know they exist. We've seen companies paying $50K-$200K a year in surcharges they didn't have to.
• Rate tariff mismatches. You might be on the wrong rate schedule for your demand profile. Utilities don't proactively move you to a cheaper one.
• Power factor penalties. If your power factor is below the utility's threshold, you're paying a penalty every month. Capacitor banks fix this and typically pay for themselves in 12-36 months.
• Sales tax exemptions. A surprising number of manufacturing and industrial facilities qualify for sales tax exemptions on energy and aren't claiming them. We're talking retroactive refunds plus ongoing savings.
• Demand charge optimization. Your peak demand in a 15-minute window can set your rate for the entire month. Most companies don't manage this.
• Inactive meters. Paying fixed charges on meters with zero consumption. It happens more than you'd think.
• Billing errors.  Utility provider mistakes -- wrong multipliers, duplicate charges, incorrect meter reads.
